BENTLEY RHYTHM ACE

MISTY IN ROOTS

MONKEY SPANNER

Based in Birmingham, Bentley Rhythm Ace are Mike Stokes (aka Michael Barrywhoosh) and ex-Pop Will Eat Itself bassist Richard March (aka Barry Island)

The group formed in 1995 after March was introduced to Stokes at the house party of a mutual friend where Stokes was DJing. Their self-titled debut LP was released by Skint in 1997, and featured remixed versions of a few early tracks together with a number of new cuts. The pair have also cultivated something of a devoted club following through their campy live performances, which often involve strange and unusual costumes and props (probably originating from the same car boots as their records)

Jenova Collective

Causing a scene amongst the UK’s hottest underground clubs and festivals, their ‘no holds barred, take no prisoners’ attitude has been relentlessly smothered over unsuspecting audiences all across Europe. Not afraid to go off the rails with tune selection you can guarantee these reprobates will hunt down and deliver dance-floor fillers and swung-out bombs for an all out infectiously pumping set that’ll have the whole discotheque bouncing.

MISTY IN ROOTS one of the most powerful live reggae acts to have come out of London and noted for their powerful roots reggae sound and uncompromising lyrical vibrations, became the major force in Rock Against Racism, playing more concerts than any other band in the movement. This opened up a whole new audience for the band who quickly developed a very strong cross over audience, playing with acts such as Tom Robinson, The Ruts and Elvis Costello.

FEEDING THE FISH

Depth of experience: Feeding The Fish have performed in 53 countries around the world, bringing their unmistakeable style to award ceremonies, product launches and private functions, as well as high-profile events including the London 2012 Paralympics, Bahrain F1 Grand Prix, Take That ‘Circus’ Tour, and Dancing on Ice.

Patented technology: Our Pixel-Poi® programmable light batons and Pixel Video Suits are developed in-house and designed to display stunning three-dimensional light graphics that fill the stage as the performers move.

MOJOKINGS

Mojokings crawled out of the East Anglia region of the UK in summer 2007 to kick some life back into a very stagnant and predictable rockabilly scene.
The original incarnation of the band was lead by singer songwriter/guitarist and founding member, Paul Scoulding. Joined by drummer Scotty Roberts and double bass player Lee Payne, Mojokings started forging their own style of rock’n’roll. Mixing 50s flash with borrowed riffs and chops from, The Who, Small Faces, The Sonics (to name a few of their early influences), Paul set about writing some original songs for what would become the bands first studio album, ‘Got The Devil In Me’, released in 2008 on UK independent label, Pink’n’Black Records. The album gained great popularity in the UK’s rockabilly scene and also found success in Europe and Japan, as well as sales in Australia and the USA.

JOSH BURNELL

Josh and his band have been playing in pubs and music venues in the York area for the past year. What just started as Josh and Frances singing folk songs in folk sessions grew, as bassist Matthew Mefford and fiddle player Antionio Curiale joined the group. The band now play a set which mainly consists of traditional and original folk songs and tunes and are preparing a UK summer tour.

TRANSYLVANIA

If a band could storm the stage with a single beat that would be Transylvania and the core of what Transylvania means is best summed up by its slogan …. “Damn Fun” when you experience the band live all your senses explode! It’s a riot of sound visuals and massive stage performance. We’ll rock you with core sounds from our culture mixed with the sounds of today. Steaming bass, massive melodies a unique groove and a vibe that you will not, cannot resist.
